Christmas Family Photo Session: Angie and Alex
This is a two-fold portrait session. It started with just baby Alice, who I wanted to capture in a very special way that involved building a cradle out of sand on the beach. It was easier than I expected; which left me wondering why I’d felt the need to carry my little one’s car seat on the beach when he was tiny…but I digress.
I built a little bed for Alice and set up quickly, knowing we may have only a minute or so before she started protesting (you never know with little ones). Sure enough, she DID protest, because she would much rather be sitting in the sand than taking a nap. Mom tried to distract her with a Christmas ornament, and within a few snaps, I was sure we got the shot.
We were able to get a few more after that, allowing Alice to play in the sand and a few tossed ornaments. It’s a good thing I stocked up on beach-themed ornaments last year, because they worked perfectly.
A few weeks later, we followed Alice’s portrait session with the whole family. Alice’s beautiful sister, Abbey got in on the fun along with mom and dad (and baby on the way!). I’m so happy and grateful to capture these images to cherish for years to come!
